Currently I am a Teaching Artist through The Hyde Park Art Center. I teach a variety of kids’ visual arts classes including Ceramics, Printmaking, and Intro to Drawing and Painting. I also teach Maskmaking, Puppetry, and Theater. I enjoy working with students of different ages and currently teach kids ranging from 4-15 years old.

Just as movement is an integral part of my own creative practice, it is essential to my teaching practice as well. I use movement awareness and focusing exercises in all classes that I teach. These exercises help students get focused for a sit-down project in my visual arts classes or lead into deeper exploration for performance classes. I believe that creativity is a corporeal practice, so I encourage my students to use their bodies as tools for innovation!
